Beachclan camp

Sandkit randomly popped up from a heap of sand and started in on the chase.

"Hi, Sandkit!" Moonpaw mewled to her. Moonpaw gracefully leaped to one side and then the other side.

"Hi, Moonpaw!" Sandkit replied. She halted where she was, close her eyes, and started to spin around.

"Hiiiiiiiiiii SANDKIT!" Seakit said, bursting out from a clump of sand. "I'm it!"

Moonpaw panted and smiled with a grin. She waved her tail at Seakit and mrowed, laughing as she danced away from Seakit.

Sandkit stumbled after Moonpaw. She turned around and stuck her tongue out at Seakkit. She then scurried away.

Seakit smiled, laughing. "I'm gonna get you!" she bounded the the sand, leaping elegantly over large clumps. I was born to do this....
Just then, Seakit felt something sharp in her knee. She yowled out in her despair, but of course, they were running from her, not helping her run, like usual....
Turning her head, Seakit spotted a blade in her leg, stuck in the bone.... at the sight, she fell, and everything went black.

At the howl, Sandkit spun around. She saw her friend fall to the ground. "Seakit? Seakit! SEAKIT!!!" she called out. when she got no answer, she charged over to her friend. "Seakit?" she pawed Seakit with one paw. "Are you okay?"

Minnowtail heard the wail too, and she rushed over. "SEAKIT!" she yowled.

"I don't know what happened, she just collapsed!" Seakit told Minnowtail. She pawed her friend in the face.

Moonpaw came over, her eyes full of shock. "What happened? She was running and then fell..." then she spotted a blade. "What's that?" she said, her voice shaking with fear. She pointed at the blade with wide eyes, staring at the others.

"I don't know", Sandkit mewed. She went to paw at it.

"DON'T!" Minnowtail hissed, knocking Sandkit out of the way. She pulled the blade out. Blood glistened on it. "I've seen one of theese before...."

"What is it?" Sandkit asked on the ground.

(What is it?)

"Yes, what she said!" Moonpaw said, straining to not touch the blade. "What is it?"

(a kife *cringe*)
"Twolegs carried them around," Minnowtail said. "I saw them throw one at a squirrel one time, and it sliced the squirrel in half."

Moonpaw shuddered. The blade looked razor sharped, and it glinted in the sunlight. "Will it kill Seakit?" she said in a shivering voice.

Sandkit shivered, and didn't dare say anything else. She stared in horror at the shiny blade, covered in her friends blood.

"I... I don't know that to do. I guess we should lay her on a bed. Sandkit, go and get some cobweb. We need fresh water, Moonpaw, go get some moss and go up to the stream. Soak it in water and give it to me."

Sandkit went to get some cobwebs, and came back. She licked her friends ears.

Moonpaw dipped her head, heading toward some moss. "I won't take long, I hope," her voice muffled by the moss in her mouth. She raced away toward the stream.

Moonpaw slowed her pace down when she caught sight of the stream. As she slowed down, she was panting, sides heaving. No time to rest, though, she thought. Seakit is hurt. she took a few breaths and soaked the moss in water. She walked back to camp slowly, instead of running, to save the water in the moss. She sat down next to Sandkit and gave the water-filled moss to Minnowtail. "Will she be okay?" she whispered, catching her breath from her run.

"I...I don't know." Minnowtail's breath heaved. "But if she does recover, she could never be a warrior." Minnowtail used the moss to soak up the blood, and used the sticky cobwebs to form a bandage over the wound. "I just hope that knife wasn't infected," she muttered.

"What is going on?" asked shellstar

Rushingpaw padded up"minnowtail, I found some cod..." his voice faltered as he saw seakit. well there goes my vacation, he thought.

"Oh, Rushingpaw, check his pulse, please!"

"Hm well, she IS breathing, but I cant detect a pulse, if that helps" murmured rushingpaw

"Minnowtail, I think it is going to rain soon.By the looks of it, a thunderhead is approaching. I might better of to go to your den." He looked thoughtful. "Besides, that IS where you have all your stuff"
