Wingflight also excused herself from the prey. "I can hunt for myself and our group, I won't accept prey from another hunter." She turned to Ebony. "His name is--" she paused. She couldn't answer the question.

Scythe looked up from his meal - he had almost finished - and swallowed what was in his mouth. "I am Scythe," he answered, standing up. "But I don't know how many others will know me...My mother, a husky...a human's companion...died when I was only a pup. And my father, a wolf, I have never met. I don't even know if he's alive anymore." He stared out into the sky, as if expecing his father to fall from there the moment he blinked. "All I know about him, from what my mother told me, was that he was an excellent fighter, never gave up...and his name was Blurrith." He smiled a bit and turned back to face Ebony. "But, who knows. Speak to whom you wish - maybe they know of him." He shrugged a little at the thought.

Moongazer nodded at Scythe, who was eating, "No, it is alright. I don't mind." She turned her head to the conversation of the other dragons and Scythe.

Ebony grinned. "Scythe." She rumbled, like she was testing out the name. "Scythe...ja, iss good name for you. You no need worry about me finding you. I excellent trahcker. Smell someting vonce, remembah scent forevah. Also iss easy for others to remembah a jiant-coyote vith outlahndish lookss and odd ting around neck, no? No worry. I find you quick and easy, you ssee." She shook her wings a little bit.
She then swung her neck to face Wingflight "Ve go now, ja?"

"Of course," Wingflight said, giving herself a little shake. "Come on, then."

(who, me? no, I just wanted a half-breed charachter, and a husky would make sense for a wolfto breed with...I actually based him off if the book White Fang a bit.)

Scythe bared his teeth in a smile at Ebony, and stood up with the others. "Where are we going, exactly?" he asked, looking around.

Wingflight looked at Scythe. " I'm going to the overloaded snowbank in the nothern kingdoms."
(lol, I like the mother dog in White Fang.)

"Well," Moongazer piped up, "I'm going back to the Featherwings camp. I need to discuss something with Aero." She paused. "Not yet, though. But soon."

Scythe cocked his head at Moongazer. "Featherwings?" he asked. "Aero?"

(AHHHH! TOO MANY POSTS!!!!)

All that time, Rouge was rolling in the dirt, getting her already brown coat brown. Vampire stood up and said "Me and Rouge are just wandering right now".

Scythe stared at the two for a moment, then asked, "Are you her father?"

Wingflight looked at Scythe, amused. She wanted to answer the question for him, but she wanted to see how Vampire or Rouge would respond.

Vampire and Rouge looked at eachother, and then turned back. "No, I have my own dad, but in our group, you have to look out for one another like your family", Rouge anwsered.

Moongazer looked wearily at Scythe. "The Featherwings." she repeated. "My group of dragons. I am the leader of them. Aero is my mate. He is guarding the camp right now probably."

Scythe first turned to Moongazer. "I see," he said, thinking. A group of dragons? They must be powerful, he thought.

Then he looked at Rouge and Vampire. "It must be nice to have some sort of pack," he said, lowering his silver-tipped ears a bit.

Nodding her head in approval, Ebony said "Ja, iss good plan. Little ones like you belong in pahcks." She still didn't understand that wolves were considered one of the largest Ga'Hoolian creatures....until the dragons came.
Extending her neck, she lowered her head until she was almost even with the height of the wolves. "Pahck keep together, always. Iss safe and good for heart. ja. Makes harder for big ones like us to hunt you. You nevah know ven one of uss might go very bad. And that day vould be terrible indeed for uss all, ja?"
In a moment of change in heart, Ebony swung her head to the apparently troubled Scythe. She had to tilt her head and fix him in her gaze with one eye, because her head was too big and her frontal blind spot didn't allow her to see him. her black eye trained on him, she rumbled "I see un sadness in you, coyote. You have made many good friends today. Ven you need company, seek us out. I sure you could visit Ice Swords now and then, ja?" She lifted her head to look at WingFlight, battling with herself to keep control. Ebony wasn't used to being under leadership at all. Most of her life was spent on her own, by her own rules. But she knew what it meant to be a loner, which was why she was joining the dragons and why she was even reaching out to Scythe.
"That iss, so long as Vingflight vills it."

As Ebony swung her massive head to him, Scythe felt touched. Her eyes, though cold on first glance, held warmth within. When she spoke to him, he knew she was right - he had a deep sadness in him ever since his mother died...and especially since he departed from his beloved owner. Scythe struggled to keep a tear back, yet one traveled down his muzzle - trenched with the scars from many battles - and onto the ground below. He placed a silver paw over it and closed his eyes, hoping the others wouldn't notice.

Out of the corner of her one eye, Ebony saw a little crystal fall from Scythe, the angle of the light reflecting into her eye. It was the only reason she noticed, really. She felt odd, not really knowing how to feel, now that she knew how much she touched the wolf. She identified a tinge of happyness and a good feeling, then quick hidden anger that she was allowing herself to become sappy. But must go on, must never let down word. Always mean and always do what always say.
The sweep of emotion and thought was so quickly controled that it couldn't have shown on her face or with her movements.
Her head hung in the air, still as a pile of bones, as she waited anxiously for her new leader's response.

(XD haha, yeah, I'm like that sometimes. And ooh, awesome, I;d love to see how Ebony looks! I'm sure it won't fail :3)

Sniffing, Scythe tilted his head upwards a bit, just catching the sigt of Ebony straghtening herself out. He shut his eyes tightly and thrust his head upwards. He knew he couldn't stay somber in front of all these others - they would think he was weak. Taking a deep breath, he opened his eyes and looked to Wingflight, waiting for her to speak.

Wingflight was amused. Dragon-wolf love. She looked at Scythe, not wanting to ruin his moment. "Yes, coyote, come visit us any time, you are welcome here, as long as you mean to harm to us."

Yes, Aero is a HE. :l

Ebony saw the look of amusement cross Wongflight's face. She barely held back the growl that threatened to come up. She didn't know what the other dragon was thinking, but she never liked to be at the expense of another's amusement.
Keeping composure, she swung her head back to look at Scythe, this time from up high. She let a small smile curl her lips. "There you are, little friend. Come by often as you need." She reached out a paw and lightly patted him on the head. It was almost comical, for her paw was about as big as his head.

Scythe smiled feebly as Ebony patted his head. "Thanks," he murmured, shaking out his pelt. To Winglfight, he said, "Are we ready?"

"Are WE ready?"
